Vibraphonist Red Norvo recorded this with a specially manufactured & amplified new set of vibes, one of only two or three in existence. He made all the necessary arrangements to do this date all by himself - he picked the men & the tunes, from Charlie Shavers' ""Undecided"" to the semi-traditional song ""Hindustan."" He summoned his favorite pianist, the hard-swinging Dave McKenna, the new tenor player Scott Hamilton, drummer Connie Kay & bassist Richard Davis.
